Let me introduce myself, Mélanie Laplante, I am a glassmaker, my residential workshop is in the Laurentians in Quebec. I have been part of the Conseil des Métiers d’Art du Québec since 2017.

I create glass jewelry and my lights are like jewelry for the home!
What I like above all is working on the density of the material, the glass, and the bold colors.

I also make small accent lamps, night light type on a concrete base, entirely handmade. It can be suitable for everything from the bedroom to the living room for a pretty glow!
My fixtures are all CSA certified and my jewelry is completely hypoallergenic.

For me, glass is a dense material that makes the light vibrate. I like to superimpose the layers of colored glass which, transformed by the heat, forms a movement of which we can see the traces, different in each of the pieces. Glass & Light
